The scenario : A doorway and an archway were to be swapped over with the archway removed from it’s existing place and a door put there instead. Where the old doorway was an archway was to be created in it’s place.
We used this as an opportunity to capture some videos on how an archway in a doorway could be created without the use of an arch former. This means the archway is created to a size and shape to suit requirements and is made out of plasterboard and then plastered.
Please excuse Tim’s odd looking face (we are waiting for youtube to update the video thumbnail)
We will update this post with the finished product once it has been painted
This work would cost in the region of £250, so probably not as much as you may have originally thought!
